Iris Krauss
Sep 11, 1991      ג' תשרי תשנ"ב

Iris Krauss was a loving mother to Richard, and devoted grandmother to Brian and Daniel. Richard, her only child, was the center of her world, yet she did not spoil him. She taught him about hard work and gave him the skills necessary to become a responsible adult. Iris passed away at the untimely age of 64, and unfortunately her grandchildren weren't able to benefit from her wisdom.

Born in Richmond Hill, she was the daughter of Hannah and Harry Braffman and the younger sister of Ted and Shirley. Iris graduated John Adams High School with honors. As a young mother, it became necessary for her to go to work. She managed a business proving herself to be extremely qualified. Iris retired from work in the 1960's and devoted her life to her son.

An active member at Congregation Beth Israel, Iris was a sisterhood President. She was extremely sociable, and enjoyed entertaining family and friends. Iris loved to cook and dance. She had many talents including hanging wallpaper, house painting, and needlepoint.

Iris Krauss instilled confidence in others and will be loved and always remembered by her family and friends.
