Writer, professor, political activist, Nobel Laureate and Holocaust survivor. Author of 57 books including "Night", based on his experiences in the Auschwitz and Buchenwald concentration camps.
Andrew Mellon Professor of the Humanities at Boston University (Elie Wiesel Center for Jewish Studies). Helped establish the United States Holocaust Memorial Museum in Washington, DC. Awarded Nobel Peace Prize in 1986. Founding member of the New York Human Rights Foundation. Co-founder of Moment Magazine.
